About the Author

Mary Anne Phemister is a nurse, author, mother, grandmother and wife of noted concert pianist William Phemister. 

Born in China to missionary parents, Mary Anne earned her nursing degree from Columbia U. New York. After studying massage therapy in Paris, France, she established her own clinic, Wheaton Massage Therapy, long before therapeutic massage became mainstream in America. Writing is her fifth career. Mary Anne and her concert pianist husband, Bill, live in Carol Stream, Illinois, where she volunteers with the Life-long Learning Group at Windsor Park Retirement Community.
